Ever since middle school, I joined the Taiwanese-American volunteer group called FASCA (Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors). Throughout my 5 years at FASCA, I have played for the Chinese Orchestra Team, recorded for the FASCA News Team, performed with the Michigan Lion Dance, and helped the Taiwanese community as a whole. As a contributor of the Michigan community, it's been an honor to be a part of the culture and people of this organization who shares the story of Taiwan in Michigan.
